AUDITIONS
The Kitsap Community Chorale is an auditioned group. The music we sing will be challenging at times, and it is important that all members are able to meet those challenges. Auditions for new members can be arranged for before or after rehearsal on any Sunday evening. You may arrange your audition time by contacting Don Dilley - click here for contact information.
The choir normally will have open auditions twice a year, one in September and one in January. Others may audition at any time at the discretion of the artistic director. Auditions will be very short and simple:
* Sight reading (not required for membership) - sight read a part (soprano, alto, tenor or
bass) from a simple four-part chorale.
* Pitch matching / retention - be able to sing back pitches as played on the piano.
* Range testing - to aid the director in placing you in the correct section for your voice.
Admission to the choir will be based on your audition as well as a need to balance the 4 sections of the choir.
